  • Are your assessments face-to-face or virtual?

    I carry out face-to-face assessments at my home in South Buckinghamshire.  I am willing to travel to schools within the selected area on the map in  Assessments.  Please contact me for further details and travel costs.

  • What is Dyscalculia?

    Dyscalculia is thought to affect approximately 5% of the population.  Whilst research into its causes are about 30 years behind that of dyslexia, dyscalculia is generally referred to as a specific learning difficulty in maths, in particular arithmetic.

  • What's your background?

    I have been a primary school teacher since 2001, teaching across all age ranges.  I am Head of Maths at a prep school and I have enjoyed this role for the last nine years.  In 2023 I achieved my Postgraduate Diploma (Dyscalculia) with Edge Hill University and then my Assessment Practising Certificate (APC) from Patoss.

  • How long does a screening assessment take?

    This is a shorter assessment that incorporates an online screener and tests to assess attainment in Maths and number sense.  It takes approximately 2 hours.
